We recommend doing a series of 6 peels at 3-6 week intervals to optimise the effects on the skin. Purchasing a pack of peels is more cost effective. Peels can be light, medium or deep. The procedure is quite safe, effective and the amount of down time afterwards depends on the type of peel used. The deeper peels have a longer recovery time.
For light chemical peels, there is mild itchiness or warmth in the skin for a few minutes. The treatments usually take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on what else is being done. The medium and deeper peels have stronger effects but take the same amount of time.
