HA (hyaluronic acid) is the main component of dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule found within our skin. It is biocompatible and ideal for cosmetic medical purposes.
Following a thorough facial Phi analysis and detailed discussion of the proposed treatment plan; the treatment can be started straight away. The gel is injected into the skin in small amounts with a very fine needle, immediately lifting and smoothing out wrinkles with the natural volume it provides.
Treatment time is approximately 30 minutes to an hour.

This varies from individual to individual. It very much depends on factors such as a person’s age and lifestyle, the degree of correction required and the structure of the skin. Most patients choose to have a repeat treatment within a year, since the main component of the product (hyaluronic acid) is a natural substance which dissolves over time.
This is a very safe treatment. The substance is highly biocompatible and biodegradable. A local anaesthetic is used to minimise any discomfort at the time of injection. Bruising, redness and some slight swelling at the site of treatment does sometimes occur, although rarely lasts more than a few days.
As fillers are primarily used for skin rejuvenation and the reduction of lines and wrinkles it can be used on a wide range of patients. It is also used on patients who are seeking to add structure and volume to the face.
We advise against pregnant and breast-feeding women from having this treatment. There is no known or recorded risk, however it is best to be safe.
You should not touch the area for at least six hours following treatment; detailed post care instructions will be given to you at the time of your appointment.
Dermal fillers are charged per 1ml syringe. Dr Guerra will assess how much you will require in order to achieve the result you desire and give you a costing prior to undergoing any treatment.
